Truth has stumbled in the streets - Isaiah 59:14

Truth is a 'dirty' word today and many are uncomfortable with it. But Jesus put a high value on it. Many times, He prefaced His words with, "I tell you the truth ...". In fact He taught He was the "the way, the TRUTH and the life." Some try to get around this by pretending that truth is dependant upon personal preferences. They say, "Well, that's your truth" or "Whatever is true for you ...". But, the Bible teaches there is only one truth and that is Jesus, the Christ. He is the ONLY way to God! Now, you may not like that truth and you may fight against it and deny it, but as Psalm 2 declares, "The One enthroned in heaven laughs ; the LORD scoffs at them. Then he rebukes them in His anger and terrifies them in His wrath, saying, 'I have installed My King in Zion, My holy hill." - Psalm 2:4-6.

The world has always twisted truth, that's why Isaiah prophesied, "Truth has stumbled in the streets", but what is heartbreaking is when those who say they love Jesus, deny the truth. Like when the church leader, Rick Warren, spoke at an Islamic conference declared that Allah and Jehovah are the same God or when an emerging church leader, Brian McLaren, has announced his church will actually be 'observing' the Muslim holy month, Ramadan, along with a Muslim 'partner. Ramadan is the month that Muslims thank Allah, their god, for revealing the Quran to Muhammad, their prophet. A friend recently wrote me and wondered about her Christian friends, who voted for Obama. Her friends do not value the truth: Obama is one of the most radical abortion supporters in our country. Abortion is the taking of a life. Even more abhorrent, it is the taking of an innocent life that God loves. Jesus said about people like this that it would be better for them if they tied a mill stone around their neck and were thrown into the sea! - Matthew 18:6. Scripture tells us plainly about such so-called Christians as these: "They will perish because they refused to believe the truth, and so be saved." - 2 Thessalonians 2:10. My friend also wondered about accusations being offered by some that President Obama is the anti-Christ. I do not believe this because, I believe the anti-Christ will somehow come out of Rome - Daniel 9:26. However, I do believe he is a danger to our country. Our forefathers warned us about those who buy votes by promising government largess (Liberality in bestowing gifts especially with the tax monies of others).

He, and his Tsars, are changing this country from a Republic to a Socialist state. They are working on many fronts at once with the freedom that comes from secrecy, because the news media refuses to report their activities. Our public schools have been dumbed down so much that few realize just how big the deficit spending is and what it will do to us. To get an idea look at this quote from a physicist of yesteryear -

"There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers." --American physicist Richard Feynman (1918-1988)

At present every American family is indebted for over $30,000. Does anyone really think this money will just appear out of nowhere? Those few reporters who are telling us the truth are being threatened with Congressional action to shut them up. Mr. Obama has given hundreds of thousands of your tax dollars to the ACORN group to take away your 2nd Amendment rights, because a nation that is armed cannot be controlled as easily and one who is unarmed. He has given millions to resettle Hamas terrorists in the United States. He plans to enlist a "citizen army" that is as well trained and funded" as the US Army. (Why?). The Health Care Bill is not about better health care but about control. Has anyone wondered how the Democrats can include more people and more procedures and still be a "financially neutral" bill? It is simple if you read what Dr. Emanuel (Obama's health advisor) is saying and writing. The biggest cost in health care comes from the aged and those who are terminally ill. Dr. Emanuel says the Hippocratic oath has to be changed to state what is good for the patient AND society! (That means extermination for the aged and terminally ill) .

How is it that the Republicans could win 10 more states than the Democrats, more population, and more counties, and not win the election? Republicans won areas where the tax payers live, while Democrats won those area where more public largess is given and where more lawlessness occurs. Do I think that Mr. Obama is the anti-Christ - no. Do I think he is dangerous to our American way of life - YES! What is more disturbing is the high percentage of so-called Christians who voted for him. It leads me to wonder if God has not already sent a "powerful delusion so that they will believe a lie" - 2 Thessalonians 2:11.

While in prayer a few days ago, I asked God what I was supposed to be doing with my time? I received an answer immediately. "Tell them that I am coming soon. Get prepared!" One of the ways to prepare is to equip yourself with the truth. A prayer said years ago will not save you. The church you belong to will not save you. Even doing spectacular things for God, will not save you - Matthew 7:21-23. When you hear the truth, don't think grace will excuse you from walking in it. After all, true grace is given so we might walk in the truth, otherwise it is "grace in vain" as Paul taught. If you have failed, repent, turn around and walk in the truth!

I urge you to commit your life to Jesus. The way that leads to Him is narrow but the way to hell is broad and strewn with compromise. The narrow way is the way of truth and Jesus is the essence of truth.
