Preparations for Financial Hardship
Last month I posted an email I received named An Open Letter to America which basically said 'God is going to judge America for its lawlessness'. Since then, I have read similar evaluations from secular sources, such as the one below:

It reminded me of a paragraph in the 'Open letter' which said -
You put homosexual perverts in charge of your financial oversight committees and then expect God to bless your finances. You put tax-cheats in charge of your IRS then expect fairness in your tax payers.
When Israel turned away from God in the Old Testament, He poured out His wrath on them and His wrath usually came in the form of letting the natural consequences of their sin come upon them. As a nation, we have outlawed God's influence in our schools and in public. We have called sexual evil good and even honored those who do it. We have made money our God to the point of excluding God's moral laws from affecting our votes. In a real way, our voters have sold their soul for the sake of money. We have forgotten that it is the Lord who gives us the power to prosper - not the government! It seems logical to me then that God will just remove His blessings from our finances and our ability to earn money to let us see how well man can do on his own. That is just what He has done.
I realize this will not be a popular message because Americans have become "lovers of themselves and lovers of money, ... ungrateful, unholy, ..." as Paul warns Timothy (2 Tim. 3:1-5). This will lead to open rebellion and violence as the money tree dries up. America has become a welfare system and its citizens have become welfare slaves. Even American farmers, who were once the backbone of our productivity have grown used to government welfare. But the government can only borrow so much, and it can only print so much new money before it become worthless.
David Wilkerson, and American Prophet, recently warned of such an event in his newsletter. He saw riots in many cities, like happened in Watts, Los Angeles years ago. He saw looting and fires in such abundance that the police couldn't control it. Our forefathers warned that our form of government could only work under a law-abiding Christian foundation. But we have been removing that in our public schools for several decades. Lying politicians have convinced the people that government largess is their right but, when it can no longer be given, what will restrain them from lawlessness? This will lead to anarchy and then to totalitarian rule and America will no longer be a beacon of light to the world.
However, God will not forsake His true children, who serve only Him. David writes, "I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging bread" (Ps. 37:25). But, Proverbs 22:3 also says, "A prudent [man] foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished." I believe we should make at least basic preparations, such as a month's supply of food and necessities.
Of course, the greatest preparation is getting right with a holy God. Repentance should be the first preparation for us all.
