Running the race with Endurance

"... and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, ... who for the joy set before him endured the cross ..." - Heb 12.1-2

We are not to beat anyone else, only to finish the course set before us. Jesus wrote to the church of Philadelphia, "Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth." - Rev 3.10.

Trial and testing are inevitable, but with God's help, we can and will endure to the end.
