America is Losing It's Way

America is in the throws of an identity crisis. For the last 50 years and more, there has been a slow but steady denial of our Sovereign Lord. The enemies of God in America are very subtle, like their father, the devil, and knowing they could not openly deny the One upon Whom our society and history are so obviously founded, they followed the plan of other antichrists  of recent times. Lenin, who introduced socialistic communism, knew he had to first sever the people from their history and their faith in God. They had to kidnap the children and 'retrain' them, really indoctrinate them, to a new world order. Hitler attempted to do the same thing. Another key point of attack is always the family. Other western nations are using this same approach today, such as Sweden. A Swedish Minister of Education writes -

Ideally, the Socialist educational system aimed to turn out good civil servants devoted to the interests of the state. A complete break with the past had to be made in order to accomplish this goal. "It is a truism that to change people it is desirable to cut off the past." During the first half of the 20th Century, John Dewey, after studying in Communist Russia, came back to America and founded many teacher's colleges because he understood that to change America, first the children must be changed. Public schools have been the chief vehicle for undermining Biblical faith, family life, and American history since that time. Prayer has been removed from the schools, any celebration of Jesus Christ, such as Easter and Christmas, have been removed. The philosophy of Secular Humanism has replaced Judeo-Christian foundations in the schools. History has been ignored or changed to erase any evidence of our Christian past, even though the Supreme Court on two separate occasions declared that we are a Christian nation ( 1892, The Church of the Holy Trinity vs. United States, and 1931, Supreme Court Justice George Southerland - "Americans are a Christian people"). We are told almost daily that the Christian faith should be only a 'private' matter and not to be espoused in the public forum. Presently, a new Hate Crimes bill is being considered that will criminalize Christian ministers who teach what the Bible says about abortion and homosexuality.

A people can only have one 'sovereign' over them and they will always have a sovereign. In America today, Almighty God has been rejected and 'man' has been enthroned in His place. We are told that government is the answer to all our problems and so, government must rule in every arena of life. One modern artist has put forth his interpretation of this situation -

showing President Obama with his arms spread as on a cross and a crown of thorns on his head. Sadly, for too many, he is the new messiah.

Psalms declares, "How blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." But, the corollary to that is 'How cursed is the nation who rejects Him!' Now I do not blame President Obama for what some ignorant artist believes, but it is obvious that the present government, and indeed the last several administrations, is moving toward a socialistic remake of America.

At the risk of being put on a Homelands Security Watch list, I will have to quote Scriptural prophesy warning us of such times -

 

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them-bringing swift destruction on themselves. - 2Pe 2:1

The false prophets and false teachers are here! And they are leading us to deny our sovereign Lord. It is time to call them what they are and to repent for our nation before destruction comes upon us.
